Meet the doctor

Dr Matt Carson, originally from New Zealand, is a General Practitioner and Authorised Prescriber based in Melbourne, Victoria.

‍

Dr Matt moved to Australia to attend Medical School at the University of Queensland. After graduation, he gained experience in a broad range of hospital specialties on the Sunshine coast before moving to sunny Far North Queensland where he completed his GP training. Over the years, Dr Matt gained extensive experience across General Practice with a particular focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) healthcare, Community Medicine and Mental Health.

Dr Matt has recently moved to Melbourne with his wife and 1 year old daughter. He is extremely passionate about ATSI Health Care, Lifestyle Medicine and the potential for natural therapies to make a lasting, positive impact on his patients and their quality of life.

Outside of medicine, Matt enjoys running, playing badminton and exploring all the food and experiences Melbourne has to offer with his young daughter.
