Frequently asked questions

Do I need a regular GP or referral to use Polln?

No, you don't need a referral from a GP. Although a referral is preferred, we understand that some people may not have a regular GP who can provide this.

Any information we receive from your previous doctor about your history, condition/s and any current or past treatments will help our team ensure they are providing you with the best care possible. You will also have the opportunity to share your medical history via our onboarding questionnaire and by uploading any other relevant health information to the Documents section of your dashboard. During your first consultation, you will have 30 minutes of dedicated one-on-one time with your doctor who will assess your condition, symptoms and overall health to determine what course of treatment is suitable for you.

What do I need for a telehealth consultation?

To get the most out of your Polln experience, we recommend that you have access to a webcam and microphone either built into your computer or installed as an external accessory. This will allow you to speak face-to-face with your doctor during your telehealth appointment just like you would at an in-person consultation.

If you do not have either of these available, our doctors can still conduct a consultation with you via phone. Simply write a note in the enquiry section saying that you do not have access to a webcam or microphone when booking your consultation..

How do I book a consultation?

To book with Polln, start by creating an account and booking a consultation, no referral needed. If you prefer, you can call 1300 176 556 to book over the phone. During your 30-minute consultation with an expert in alternative medicine, you'll review your health and develop a treatment plan. Appointments are available same-day, after-hours, and on weekends.

What does my Polln Patient Platform allow me to do?

Your Polln patient platform gives you an easy, central place to manage your care. You can:
